Mr. Prakul Khurana is the Managing Partner of Chir Amrit Legal LLP and heads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution division. With over 21 years of being in the profession, Mr. Khurana has extensive experience in handling complex and high-value litigation, commercial disputes, corporate matters, regulatory proceedings and advisory assignments across diverse areas of law.

His practice encompasses in commercial laws viz, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, Company Law, Benami, PMLA, Contract Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Commercial Arbitration and Conciliation, Banking and Securitisation Laws, Economic Offences, Consumer Laws, Labour Laws, Land Acquisition and General Corporate and Commercial Laws.

Mr. Khurana has experience in advising and representing clients in matters concerning shareholder disputes, minority rights, corporate governance, management disputes and other corporate and commercial controversies. He has represented clients in a wide range of complex matters in several diverse forums and has several reported judgments to his credit across diverse areas of law.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Khurana regularly represents clients in domestic commercial arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. His practice also extends to transactional and advisory matters, wherein he advises clients on contractual, corporate, commercial and regulatory issues, with a focus on identifying legal risks and developing effective strategies for dispute prevention and resolution.

Mr. Khurana has represented clients before a wide range of constitutional courts, judicial and statutory tribunals, regulatory authorities and specialised forums including the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), National Green Tribunal (NGT), Electricity Regulatory Commissions, and other statutory and regulatory authorities.

He joined Chir Amrit as a Senior Partner in January 2024 after serving as a practicing Chartered Accountant over a period of almost 28 years at Kalani & Co., a leading Chartered Accountant Firm of India.

He is having a vast experience in handling Statutory, Internal, Tax, System and Management audits of Large and medium size companies, organisations, Banks, Large PSU’s etc. He has handled GST consultancy matters, Company law matters, implementation of IFC, work related to document vetting, company incorporation, mergers & acquisitions, de-mergers, winding ups, Corporate restructuring, Fund management, Business Planning, Ind AS implementation, acted as a consultant to various Power sector companies for tariff, accounting, Direct/Indirect tax, Corporate Laws, Financial matters etc.

He is having expertise in handling Consultancy assignments of Large Corporates/PSU’s engaged in sectors such as Power, Oil & Gas, Telecom, Insurance, Real Estate, Hotel, Hospital, Mining, Cement, NBFC, Dairy, FMCG etc. He has given lectures on subjects related to Corporate Laws, Accounting Standards, Taxation and related areas.

He is regularly appearing before various authorities including Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission, Rajasthan Tax Board, ROC MCA, RD MCA, GST, Stamp etc. He also acted as a Lenders Financial Advisor for FI’s and Banks. Mr. Varun Bansal joined as a Senior Partner in Chir Amrit after rendering services as a practicing Chartered Accountant over a period of 20 years wherein he had experience in handling consultation related to Direct and Indirect Taxes of various PSUs, listed companies, Nationalised Bank, and other corporate bodies. He has experience of dealing with International Taxation and Transfer pricing cases and appearing before various appellate authorities including Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Mr. Varun is handling litigation relating to PMLA and Benami Law. He is regularly appearing before Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, State Government Authorities, Labour Cess adjudicating and appellate Authorities. He is also leading the practice of RIPS (Rajasthan Investment Promotion Schemes) advisory in firm.

Mr. Bansal is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in the field of Audits and Taxation. He completed his article training from M/s. Kalani & Company and became a partner there since April’2006. He has also done Post-qualification Diploma and Certification courses in Information System Audit, Insurance Risk Management, IFRS, MSME, Business Responsibility and Sustainable Reporting and Anti Money Laundering Specialist conducted by ICAl. He secured all India 3rd Rank in DIRM Post Qualification Course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He regularly contributes lectures before different forums of ICAI and other professional bodies.

Mukesh handles Direct Tax litigation and advisory, particularly in search/survey proceedings, search assessments, 148 proceedings, proceedings under Black Money, money laundering and/or Benami Law.

Mrs. Harsha Totuka is a corporate and capital markets lawyer with extensive experience advising companies, promoters, investors and financial institutions on complex corporate and transactional matters. Her practice focuses on capital markets, private equity, M&A and general corporate advisory.

Mrs. Totuka has substantial experience in IPO transactions on both Mainboard and SME platforms, advising issuer companies and selling shareholders across the IPO lifecycle, including legal due diligence, offer document preparation, regulatory compliances and overall transaction support. She has advised companies across sectors including banking and financial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, jewellery, and logistics.

Mr. Totuka has deep expertise in corporate financial planning and analysis coupled with strong taxation knowledge. He enjoys transaction advisory and corporate restructuring as his passion and has the ability to weigh all pros and cons of various legal structures. He has experience in creation of optimum organization structures, onshore and offshore advisory, and transfer pricing with global clients.
